Tokyo and Kyoto, Japan
I've really just put this in here to show off. Michael and I are taking a holiday to Japan, the country that has inspired my culinary creations for years, and to celebrate 20 years together. Our hosts are our friends Akiko and Yoshi who own the most wonderful restaurant in Tokyo – with only two tables it's the smallest restaurant we've been to. Akiko used to cook with me at The Sugar Club restaurant more than ten years ago, and Akiko's mother Etsuko makes the best miso in the world – I know because she sends it to me in London.
